The Department of Agriculture offers degrees at the 2 year (Associate) and 4 year (Bachelor) level in agriculture and horticulture. Degrees are offered in the areas of Landscape, Turf Management, Floriculture, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Systems Management, Agronomy & Natural Resources, Dairy Herd Management, Livestock Production, Soils, Agriculture Education and Pre-Veterinary Medicine.The agricultural and horticulture curricula provides career training for your success in government agencies, Agriculture Education Instruction, finance, agribusiness, livestock operations, landscaping, floriculture and turf grass management. Graduates have found success in all these areas. Our program stresses the latest technical information in the classroom with application at the university farm, greenhouses and turf plots and through Co-op education. Both the University farm and greenhouse operations support our "hands on learning" program. Class size is small leading to excellent student-faculty relationships. We like to say that we are small enough to care for you as an individual but large enough to provide every career opportunity. |
